, by Vernor Vinge, coming soon from the University of Pennsylvania Press.
Is this the SF-author Vernor Vinge or someone else with the same unusual name? If it’s the same one, I’m of mixed emotions — on the one hand, I expect a history of modern Spain by him would be interesting, but on the other hand, I’m ready for another Fire or Deepness already, and he’s been spending his time writing a history book?
