God Hates America

What a lovely group of loving christians Fred Phelps has created.

As soon-to-be-graduates passed by and stared at the protest, Phelps-Roper said: "They're going to hell. You're looking at dead people walking."

And I guess right-thinkers aren't ever going to die?

When one undergraduate walked by and cracked a joke about one of the s Sept. 11 sign, Phelps-Roper said the student's sarcasm indicated that her message had gotten through.

bq. "You see, he got the the message," she said. "In the day of judgment...that guy is not going to be able to say 'I didn't know.'"

My god, you can just hear the glee in her voice, can't you? She thinks she's sent someone to hell (before, he might have been able to scrape by in purgatory, I'd think she thinks), and that seems to be the whole point.
